Unity Girls High School<\/span> is an independent Islamic day school for girls.\u00a0 Our objective is to have the highest standards both morally and academically and to provide a sound Islamic environment for our students.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Unity Girls High School is dependent upon funds that are derived mainly from fees generated from students. Without the fees we will not be able to maintain and sustain the school in a manner that is acceptable for our children.\u00a0 It is important that parents\/guardians understand and undertake their responsibility in complying with the fees agreement form.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The payment of fees is the liability of the parent\/guardian undertaking the responsibility of sending a student to the school.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Parents must consider their own personal situation before registration. It is the duty of the parent\/guardian to ensure that they have the means and ability to pay for that academic year before signing the contract.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Entrance test and Application fees<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

All students who wish to attend Unity Girls High School must first sit an entrance test.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The test will consist of a written test followed by an interview. Details about admission may be obtained from our Admission policy.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

There is a fee of \u00a350 for the entry exam and fee of registration fee \u00a3100. This fee is to cover the admin for the application process and is non-refundable whether the child is accepted or not.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The result of the tests, interview and availability of places will determine the candidate\u2019s offer of a place.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Deposit<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

On successfully passing the entrance test and accepting the offer of a place at the school, the parent\/guardian is required to pay\u202fa\u202frefundable deposit\u202fof a terms fees.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

For all existing students who have not previously been required to pay a refundable deposit they will be required to pay upon confirming their place for the following year. This is necessary in order to either\u202fcomplete the registration process or secure a place at the school (in respect of new students) or to progress to the next year in respect of current students. \u202fThe refundable deposit will be paid back when the child leaves the school. We require a terms fees in advance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Book Fees<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

At registration parents of students going into Year 7 and 8 only, are required to make a one off payment of \u00a3100 to cover the cost of text books and exercise books their child will use while at the school.\u00a0 <\/span>This fee excludes GCSE text books, <\/span><\/b>which are bought by students as \u2018Extras\u2019 at the time they begin the syllabus (a list will be provided by the school). Any texts books that are lost or damaged must be replaced by the student. Completed exercise books are replaced at no cost, as required.\u00a0 If any text books are lost or damaged, a sum of \u00a325.00 will be charged to the student as \u2018Extras\u2019.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Annual Fees<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The annual school fees for the current academic year are:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a34500 <\/span><\/b>for Key Stage 3 (Years 7 – 8) and\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a35000<\/span><\/b> for Key Stage 4 studies (Years 9 \u2013 11).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Fees are normally reviewed once a year. It may be necessary to increase fees from time to time and, where practicable, a terms notice will be given.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

FEE REGULATIONS – 2021\/2022 ACADEMIC YEAR<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      \u2018Fees\u2019 means school tuition fees as set at the start of each academic year.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      \u2018Extras\u2019 means items authorised by parents or reasonably incurred by a pupil or by the school on behalf of a pupil and normally charged as extras; for these purposes a pupil is the agent of the parents.( \u2018Extras\u2019 typically include certain trips, school equipment, Arabic books and materials etc.)<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

      1. 3. PAYMENT SCHEDULES<\/span><\/b><\/li><\/ol>

        Parents are required to pay school fees according to the schedule of three options given below:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        Option 1: Full fees in advance<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        Parents paying the full fees in advance by 24\/08\/2021 will receive a 5% discount on the total of invoice amount .i.e. \u00a34,500 reduced by 5% is a deduction of \u00a3225 leaving a total of \u00a34,275 for Key Stage 3.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        For Key Stage 4 parents paying the full fees in advance by 24\/08\/2021 will receive an 5% discount on the total of invoice amount.i.e.\u00a35,000 reduced by 5% is a deduction of \u00a3250 leaving a total of \u00a34,750 Payment received after this date will not qualify for a discount.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

        1. METHODS OF PAYMENT<\/span><\/b><\/li><\/ol>

          Payment can be made either by Bank Transfer, Standing Order or Cheque. In some cases Cash can be accepted.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

          Cheque<\/span><\/b>: If you choose to pay by cheque, your payment must be cleared by the due date.           Standing Order:<\/span><\/b> This is the preferred method of payment.\u00a0 This will reduce paperwork and the need for you to come to our offices to make payments. Please fill out our Standing Order Mandate and provide a copy of the Mandate to our admin office (the original must be given to your bank).<\/span> This process should be completed at the time of registration so banking procedures are in place before the commencement of school.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

          Bank Transfer<\/span><\/b>: This payment method is applicable for all of Option 1 or Option 2, or for the 1<\/span>st<\/span> instalment of Option 3.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

          Cash<\/span><\/b>: This payment option is available to those who do not have a UK bank account. Please discuss with finance department.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

          1. HOW TO SECURE A PLACE FOR YOUR CHILD AT THE SCHOOL<\/span><\/b><\/li><\/ol>

            To secure a place for your child for the next academic year, you must either pay the full fee in advance or as a minimum pay one term\u2019s fee in advance according to the scheduled dates.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

            1. IF UNABLE TO PAY THE FEES<\/span><\/b><\/li><\/ol>

              We expect everyone to meet their obligations in full without exception. Parents may if they so wish apply for financial support to outside aid agencies, however, the decision of such agencies in providing assistance is not the responsibility of the school and <\/span>will not be accepted as a reason for any delay in making fee payments on time<\/span><\/b>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

              1. MISSED PAYMENTS & ADMIN CHARGES<\/span><\/b><\/li><\/ol>

                Fees are due on the agreed schedule. If we do not receive the fees in cleared funds by these dates, we will send you a reminder letter, requesting that payment is made within the following 48 days. There will be an admin charge of \u00a312 for this reminder.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

                If fees are still not forthcoming, we will send a second reminder letter, requesting payment before your child is allowed to return to classes which will incur an additional \u00a312 admin charge. Please note the admin charges cannot be removed once applied.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

                EXCLUSION:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

                We will exclude a child from school, even at exam time, if all overdue sums due are not cleared before the following dates:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
